Principal's Message
Welcome to the Grey Mountain Primary School website! Thanks for visiting.
We acknowledge that we learn, play, and work on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dun First Nation and Ta'an Kwach'an Council. What a beautiful setting that we are nestled in! The perfect environment for our children to grow, develop, and belong.
We are thrilled to be one of 8 Yukon schools under the authority of the First Nation School Board as of August 2022! This is truly a historic occasion in the history of Education in the Yukon!
We are proud to be a primary school, specializing in Kindergarten through Grade 3 activities focusing on foundational literacy and numeracy principles. Our school motto, "Respect, Responsibility and Reaching for Our Best" reflects who we are. Students and staff are always encouraged and expected to treat each other with respect. Together we are growing and learning and reaching for our best.
Here at Grey Mountain Primary School, students enjoy a balanced curriculum which includes land-based activities, academics, arts, physical education and personal/social development. Students are supported in their learning through caring educators.
The primary years of a child's experience in education will set the tone for future learning. At Grey Mountain Primary we are able to focus on strong academics as well as healthy personal growth which gives students the tools for lifelong learning and future success.
Warmly,
Kim Ramsay
Principal
